The ACCENT Madrid Study Center is a collaborative hub of academic and cultural exchange. A welcoming reception greets students and faculty, offering local cultural and academic resources, as well as program information.
Classes are held on-site at Madrid’s museums, monuments, and squares, or in one of the Study Center’s six spacious, light-filled classrooms. All classrooms have wireless internet, as well as a computer and projector for faculty.
Computer Lab and Study Rooms
Students have access to a computer lab consisting of 10 iMacs along with DSL network connections and wireless for personal laptops.
Two separate spaces are dedicated to quiet study and open to students during regular operating hours.
Faculty have access to a shared office space in the Study Center, encouraging collaboration with other visiting program leaders as well as ACCENT Madrid’s creative and resourceful local faculty. The space has a shared computer, as well as a printer and scanner.
Bulletin Boards & Facebook
ACCENT’s bulletin boards, Instagram page and Madrid Study Center Facebook page provide information about various happenings around Madrid and Spain, including art exhibits, concerts, Spanish-American activities, sports activities, and special events.
ACCENT maintains a small lending library with travel guides and reference books as well as Spanish and American newspapers and periodicals.
ACCENT can provide students with information on travel outside of Madrid, connecting students to travel agencies, train and bus schedules, special student fares, and railpass information. All students must complete a travel information form when traveling out of Madrid, available here.
