Associate Director of U.S. Operations
As Associate Director, Megan manages student enrollment and pre-departure preparation, as well as program accounting. Megan also oversees the ACCENT web site, printed materials and IT in all ACCENT Centers. As an undergraduate at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Megan spent a semester in Paris studying French and Art History. After graduating Megan joined the Peace Corps and taught English to 8th graders in Eritrea, Africa for two years. Upon returning home to San Francisco, Megan continued her studies earning a Masters in Industrial and Graphic Design. She was thrilled to become a member of the ACCENT team in 2001.
As Contract Manager, Anna works with faculty and administrators to develop and finalize contracts for ACCENT’s customized programs. Anna has worked at ACCENT since 2014, first as a Programs Coordinator, before accepting the Contract Manager position. Her passion for international education started after studying abroad in Munich, Germany, for her junior academic year and led her to obtain a Masters in Foreign Language Education from the University of Texas at Austin. After completing her Master’s program she worked overseas in Vienna, Austria, furthering her understanding of the challenges and rewards of living in a foreign country. Anna is thrilled to continue helping students and faculty have an enriching experience abroad.
As Programs Coordinator, Jani works with administrators and individual students to prepare for their time abroad. Some of her duties include sending and receiving student materials, processing payments, advising visa applicants, and communicating with the ACCENT centers in Europe. An East Bay native, Jani spent her final semester at UC Berkeley studying with an ACCENT organized program in London. Her time abroad instilled a powerful yearning to see the world and she has since explored America, Canada, Europe, and returned several times to London, most recently for the 2012 Olympics. Jani was elated to join the ACCENT team, where she can share her enthusiasm for travel and assist others in their education abroad experiences.
As Programs Coordinator, Tanyshia works with study abroad offices and students who are preparing to study abroad. She manages all aspects of the enrollment process for US students including collecting student material and payments, student advising, housing coordination and assists students and administrators with Visa application information. Originally from Stockton, California, she earned her BS in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business from San Francisco State University. In her time at the University, Tanyshia spent a year abroad in Paris, France where she studied Marketing, Accounting and French, among others. Tanyshia is thrilled to be a part of the ACCENT team and is excited to help students have an amazing study abroad experience.
Assistant Programs Coordinator / Social Media Coordinator
As Assistant Programs Coordinator, Sara ensures a smooth enrollment process and confers with students in preparation for their studies overseas. In this position, she also creates student materials, responds to requests for information, and assists with student and faculty needs. As Social Media Coordinator, Sara is thrilled to lead the San Francisco Social Media team in presenting a platform for student writers through the ACCENT Blog, sharing interesting local insights into the cities where ACCENT’s students study with Facebook, and wistfully pinning images of her beloved Paris on Pinterest. Originally from Berkeley, California, Sara completed her BA in Cinema Studies at New York University, where she studied abroad during her junior year in Paris. While abroad she studied French, film, and photography, immersing herself in the artistic culture of Parisian life both inside and outside of the classroom. As an avid traveler and true proponent of international education, Sara is thrilled to help students as they plan their journeys abroad.
Contract and Administrative Assistant
As Contract and Administrative Assistant, Audrey assists the ACCENT San Francisco Center by writing and proofing contract proposals, tracking final agreements for signatures, helping edit posts for the ACCENT blog, and more. A Bay Area native, she earned her BA in English at UC Berkeley with a minor in Art History. Audrey has studied abroad twice: first, in Florence, Italy and then in Edinburgh, Scotland. Her studies there deeply immersed her in the art, literature, and history of those cities. A voracious learner, Audrey strongly believes in the importance of education. She is delighted to help further ACCENT’s mission of giving students from all across the US the opportunity to broaden their perspectives and jumpstart their curiosity.
As Programs Assistant, Allison is responsible for a variety of tasks in regards to student enrollment. This includes creating student materials; processing and recording said materials; as well as following up with students for missing information. Allison is also responsible for overseeing, maintaining and contributing to ACCENT’s Social Media presence. Originally from Sebring, Florida, she earned her BA in Sociology with a minor in Music from Samford University in Birmingham, AL. After graduating, Allison joined the Peace Corps and served in Azerbaijan as an English teacher for just over two years. Allison is delighted to be a part of the ACCENT team and looking forward to helping students as they plan their time abroad.
