Program Development Manager
Jim oversees ACCENT’s academic development efforts, with a primary focus on the development of customized quarter and semester programs. Jim collaborates with U.S. college and university partners, ACCENT Study Centers, and local faculty in each city to develop new programming and local courses that are topical, experiential, and reflect the depth and breadth of ACCENT’s local networks. Jim began with ACCENT in 2009 and prior to his work in program development, managed programs on-site in Madrid and Rome. He has participated in international academic programs in Spain, Italy, Bolivia and Argentina, and is a certified administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI). Jim holds a degree in Business Administration from Boston University and is originally from Massachusetts.

As Partnerships Coordinator, Alexa maintains ACCENT’s partnerships with U.S. institutions and assists in the development of faculty-directed and customized study abroad programs. In this position, she works closely with staff in ACCENT’s San Francisco Center and overseas Study Centers to manage programs from initial ideas to final contracts. Originally from Syracuse, New York, Alexa earned her BA in Biology from the University of Rochester where she studied abroad twice in Rome, Italy. After graduating, she taught English in Turin, Italy before earning her MA in International Education from New York University. At NYU, Alexa studied abroad in Germany, Ghana, and China where she researched trends in international development and internationalization of higher education. Alexa is excited to join the ACCENT team and collaborate with universities to create dynamic and meaningful study abroad programs.
