As the Paris Center Director, Melissa leads a multinational team of administrative staff and faculty, and is responsible for the management and administration of many different styles of programs including direct enrollment programs, island programs and hybrid programs for both undergraduate and graduate students. Originally from New York, Melissa has worked with Ray Vernon since 1989. She has been the ACCENT Paris Center Director since 1998. Having studied with SUNY in Paris in 1986, Melissa returned to France in 1987 and made the City of Light her home.
Senior Programs Coordinator
Adrien works in the ACCENT Paris Study Center as the Senior Programs Coordinator. In this position, he aids the Paris Center Director with the daily management of the ACCENT Paris Study Center and the front office team as well as the many and varied programs that come through our doors. Adrien also organizes the classes held at ACCENT Paris, takes care of student enrollment at the Sorbonne and the Institut Catholique, and liaises with other partner institutions such as Novancia and the ESCP. He also works with ACCENT’s MBA students and special programs. He graduated in English and German from the Sorbonne and enjoys sharing French culture with the students, as well as encouraging them to discover France.
Cultural Activities Coordinator/Excursion Leader
Mirek Siedliski works in the ACCENT Paris Study Center as the Cultural Activities Coordinator. In this position, he oversees all aspects of visits and excursions in and outside of Paris. As a guide conférencier, he also guides Paris groups through places such as the Château de Versailles, various museums in Paris, the famous Palais Garnier, or in French towns such as St. Malo, Avignon, or Dijon. Mirek is very familiar with study abroad as he has studied in many cities including Warsaw, Lille, Paris, New York City, and Edinburgh.
Jennifer works in the ACCENT Paris Study Center as the Housing Coordinator. Working with student housing providers, she coordinates student and faculty apartments, hotel accommodations, and assists with housing orientations. Graduate of the International Education Masters program at Université Paris 8 and a former student of the Hamilton College Junior Year in France program, Jennifer looks forward to sharing her enthusiasm for the French culture and language with students. She also intends to use her study abroad experience and her years of living in France to support the students during their transition to living in Paris. Avid user of the bike sharing system, Vélib, in Paris, she enjoys taking advantage of the many different cultural opportunities in Paris.
As the Programs Coordinator at the ACCENT Paris Study Center, Charlotte is part of the front office team. In this role, she offers support and advice to students, runs the daily logistics of the Center, plans different cultural activities, as well as manages social media. Charlotte graduated in Philosophy & Italian at Sussex University in Brighton and since then has followed her feet and lived in both France, where she comes from, and Sicily, teaching English. She also studied in Bologna for her ERASMUS. Charlotte has a love for languages, enjoys traveling, cycling and going to concerts and cultural events. Having studied and worked abroad she is more than happy to share some of her experiences and languages with you and to help out if you need a piece of advice or just to have a chat!
In her position of Homestay Coordinator, Corinne plays a key role when it comes to enhancing our students’ experience abroad and immersion into the French culture. A former host mom herself, she fully understands all the challenges that living with people from another culture can present and strives to find the best possible placement for each student by taking their wishes into great consideration. Corinne’s experience in the field, her love for traveling and her cultural sensitivity allow her to help the students smoothly adapt to their new Parisian homes – so much so that some of them find it really hard to leave what they have come to consider their second family!
Ségolène is currently graduating in Cultural Tourism at Sorbonne Nouvelle University while working at Accent Paris Study Center as an intern. She assists Mirek on the organization of cultural activities and excursions for the students. After having volunteered on organic farms in Canada, and studied in Latvia for her ERASMUS, she is finally happy to have come back in France. In love with her native country, she is pleased to be an ambassador of the cultural and natural beauties of France. Not surprisingly, she likes practicing outdoor sports in the country and enjoy Paris cultural life.
Luis is originally from Portugal and came to France at the age of 3. He is currently in his third year as an undergraduate in English and Spanish from the Paris Saclay University. Luis has a love for languages, enjoys sharing chats in different languages, discovering new cultures. He will be more than happy to help you, have a chat with you or to give you a piece of advice.
