| Students on an ACCENT program in Madrid may be placed in an apartment or in a Spanish home. Housing options vary by program. |
STUDENT APARTMENTS
Students may choose to stay in double or single rooms in co-ed apartments that are located throughout Madrid. Apartments have a combination of single and double bedrooms and house both ACCENT and other international students. Each bedroom is furnished with beds, a closet or armoire, sheets, pillows and blankets. Kitchen facilities include a stove, refrigerator, cooking utensils and dishes. Kitchen and bathroom facilities are shared by everyone in the apartment. All of the student apartments are located in and around the center of Madrid, within a 20 to 55 minute walk, bus or metro ride from the ACCENT Madrid Center. |
HOMESTAYS
Students who choose a homestay in Madrid live with carefully selected host families and receive half board (full board may also be possible). Homestay accommodations provide students with an opportunity to observe first-hand how the Spanish live. Students are placed in double and single rooms in homes within the Madrid city limits, with varying commutes to classes of 15 to 55 minutes by walking and metro. It is recommended that students considering homestays have previous knowledge of the Spanish language. |
STUDENT RESIDENCES
For the summer programs (July & August) students who choose a residence in Madrid live in carefully selected locations and receive half board (full board may also be possible). Residence hall accommodations provide students with an opportunity to live in the same building with other classmates as well as with other international and Spanish students. Students are placed in double and single rooms within the Madrid city limits, with varying commutes to classes of 15 to 55 minutes. Each bedroom is furnished with beds, a closet or armoire, sheets, pillows and blankets. There are no kitchen facilities for student use at the residence halls.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS
For shorter-term programs and on overnight excursions students often stay in local hotels. For more information on the hotel(s) specific to your program, please contact ACCENT. |
