Research visa requirements for your planned dates of travel. |

Acquire a 4-digit pin number to access your checking account overseas. |

Check the exchange rate before you go. |

Take $50-$100 in local currency for cab fare or other unexpected expenses upon arrival. |

Pack a change of clothes in your carry-on bag in case you make it to Europe in advance of your baggage. |

Provide family and friends with the appropriate ACCENT Center address overseas for sending mail. |

Be familiar with the content of the contract with ACCENT, what is provided and faculty and academic requirements. |

Coordinate with overseas ACCENT Center to finalize academic schedule, classroom and equipment needs, and activities and excursions planned with course schedule/syllabus. |

Check your welcome letter for the number of passport sized photos to send to the ACCENT SF Center. |

Return your signed apartment contract to the ACCENT SF Center before leaving the U.S. |

Advise ACCENT of accompanying family members, partners or friends at least 4 months prior to departure. |

Plan to participate in the pre-departure orientation for your program (if applicable). |

Know that the ACCENT Centers in the U.S. and overseas are available resources for pre-departure academic and program planning assistance. |
