University of Paris - Sorbonne
Located in the heart of Paris' Latin Quarter, the Sorbonne is one of the world's oldest and most prestigious universities. Sorbonne classes for international students are taught entirely in French, at language levels ranging from complete beginner to high advanced.
ACCENT works with the Sorbonne to offer programs that allow students to enroll directly in the Cours de Civilisation Française. They can choose either the Cours Classique (12 hours of language/week), the Cours Complet (12 hours of language/week + elective lectures in French civilization) or the Cours du Soir (6 hours of language/week, available in the Spring only).
Institut Catholique
A private university which has been welcoming students since 1875, the Institut Catholique is located in the chic and historical heart of Paris near Saint-Germain des Prés, and attracts a large number of international students every semester.
ACCENT works with the IC to offer French language and civilization courses through the Institut de Langues et Culture Françaises. Language courses, taught in French, are offered at five levels, from complete beginner to high advanced. Most civilization courses are also taught in French, but a number of options in English do exist.
Students with a sound grasp of French may decide to enroll directly with the Institut Catholique as 'auditors' and attend specialized lectures along with French students in selected classes made available to international students.
ESCP Europe
ESCP Europe was the very first business school to open in France and has been welcoming students since 1819. It now accepts around 4,000 students per year and has campuses in Paris, Berlin, London, Madrid and Turin. It regularly ranks among the top three French business schools.
ACCENT students attend classes at ESCP Europe through partnerships with their home universities, joining an international student body of close to 250 students every year. They can take classes in either French or English.
NEGOCIA
NEGOCIA was founded in 1992 by the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIP) and is now one of the leading French business schools. Both French students and international students from partner institutions in Europe, Asia, Canada, and the United States take classes at NEGOCIA.
Students on ACCENT programs that attend NEGOCIA are enrolled directly into NEGOCIA's international semester and choose from courses offered in English and approved by their home institution.
MICEFA
MICEFA is an organization which enrolls American students directly into classes with French students at their partner universities in Paris. MICEFA staff then provide academic advice and support to students for the duration of the semester through their office located in the 14th arrondissement of Paris.
Students may choose from a wide variety of subject areas, usually relating to their major back home, and take all their classes entirely in French.
Ecole Spéciale d'Architecture
The Ecole Spéciale d'Architecture was founded in 1865 and aims to provide its students with the necessary training to design buildings of all types while taking into account their wider urban and environmental contexts.
ESA is situated in the 14th arrondissement of Paris and works with ACCENT programs to provide studio space for lectures by visiting faculty. The faculty concerned often combine such lectures with field trips out and about in the streets of Paris and its suburbs.
