Madrid Housing
Students on an ACCENT program in Madrid may be placed in an apartment, a Spanish home or a student residence. Housing options vary by program with varying commutes to classes of 15 to 55 minutes walking and by metro.
Student Apartments
Students may choose to stay in apartments located in and around the center of Madrid. Apartments have a combination of single and double bedrooms. Each bedroom is furnished with beds, a closet or armoire, and linens.
Kitchen facilities include a stove-top, refrigerator, oven or microwave, washing machine, cooking utensils and dishes. Everyone in the apartment shares kitchen facilities, as well as bathrooms. The option of sharing apartments with other international students is available.
Homestays
Students who choose a homestay in Madrid live with carefully selected host families and receive half or full board. Homestay accommodations provide students with an opportunity to observe first-hand how Spaniards live. Students are placed in double and single rooms in homes within the Madrid city limits.
Student Residences
Residence hall accommodations, which are primarily used for summer programs (July & August), provide students with an opportunity to live in the same building with other classmates as well as with other international and Spanish students. Students are placed in double and single rooms within the Madrid city limits. Each bedroom is furnished with beds, a closet or armoire, and linens. Students receive half board at the residence halls.
Hotel Accommodations
For shorter-term programs students often stay in local hotels. For more information on the hotel specific to your program, please contact ACCENT.
