Director of U.S. Operations

As the Director of U.S. Operations, Allison is responsible for the management of the U.S. headquarters of ACCENT and institutional partnerships with over 50 colleges and universities. Allison and the San Francisco Center team assist in the development of programs and coordinate closely with all partner institutions to complete the pre-departure administration of programs. Allison's first overseas experience was a gap year in the UK as an English Speaking Union scholar before attending Stanford University. As an International Relations major, Allison spent two quarters in Tours, France, studying French, international economics, political science and art history. After graduation, Allison completed an internship in the Slovak Republic through the organization AIESEC. Allison has been with ACCENT since the opening of the San Francisco Center in 1991 and has very much enjoyed seeing ACCENT grow into the organization it is today.

Assistant Director of U.S. Operations

As Assistant Director, Megan manages student enrollment and pre-departure preparation, as well as program accounting. Megan also oversees the ACCENT web site, printed materials and IT in all ACCENT Centers. As an undergraduate at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Megan spent a wonderful fall semester in Paris studying French and Art History. After graduating Megan joined the Peace Corps and taught English to 8th graders in Eritrea, Africa for two years. Upon returning home to San Francisco, Megan continued her studies earning a Masters in Industrial and Graphic Design. She was thrilled to become a member of the ACCENT team in 2001.

Program Development & Contract Coordinator

As Program Development & Contract Coordinator, Jocelyn collaborates with faculty and administrators to design and develop customized programs. She works closely with schools tailoring short-term and semester programs that cover a range of academic disciplines. Jocelyn also has the opportunity to visit ACCENT’s US partner institutions during campus visits throughout the year. Jocelyn had her first taste of living and learning abroad during her junior year with Skidmore College. She spent a year in Paris taking art history and language classes and studying literature at the Sorbonne. After graduating, Jocelyn returned to France to teach English at a French public school and has spent two summers traveling with American high school students on an academic study program in the south of France. Since returning to the U.S., Jocelyn has lived in Washington, DC, New Hampshire and San Francisco. She enjoys working with students of all ages and is eager to share her passion for educational travel and study abroad.

Assistant Program Development & Contract Coordinator

As Assistant Program Development and Contract Coordinator, Chelsey writes and proofs contract proposals, following them through to their finalization. She works directly with administrators and faculty in order to develop the best programs possible for partner institutions and their students. Originally from Austin, Texas, Chelsey completed her BA in English at Stanford University where she studied abroad during her junior year both in Florence and Oxford. While abroad, she studied Italian, art history, and Shakespeare and got to work with local theatre companies, combining her passion for education and the arts. Chelsey is delighted to be working with ACCENT where she is able to share her love of travel and the life-changing experience that is study abroad.

Programs Coordinator

As Programs Coordinator, Jenna works primarily with students and faculty who are preparing for their overseas programs, from initial enrollment to pre-departure status. Jenna also keeps in close communication with the overseas Centers allowing her to help convey student and faculty needs in order to help Europe prepare for program arrivals. As a student at the University of Minnesota, Jenna studied and traveled throughout Latin America and Europe, eventually falling in love with and settling in Spain. After completing her B.A. in Global Studies, Jenna spent two years working for the Department of Education of Spain while exploring Europe and learning about all that it has to offer. Now living in San Francisco, she is excited to share her experiences and love of traveling with students while helping them prepare for their time abroad.

Programs Coordinator

Jade is Programs Coordinator in the ACCENT San Francisco Center. Some of her duties include: helping manage the student information database, maintaining office materials, organizing group airport transfers, and sending out student materials to colleges and universities. A native Californian, Jade studied abroad in India as an undergraduate at UC Berkeley, and has enjoyed exploring her way through Europe and around the world. After graduating she joined the Peace Corps and spent two years on a rural island in Vanuatu providing educational workshops on various topics. An avid believer of cross-cultural experiences, Jade looks forward to supporting students as they venture abroad.

Programs Assistant

As Programs Assistant, Erin is responsible for a variety of tasks ranging from the production of student materials to the maintenance of ACCENT’s online presence. She assists with collecting and recording student information and is responsible for following up with students to ensure that everything is set for their time abroad. As a student at Gonzaga University, Erin spent a semester abroad in Granada, Spain and enjoyed learning about both Spanish and European culture. She has a passion for travel and believes that study abroad provides the perfect opportunity to experience life in another country. Originally from the Bay Area, Erin is thrilled to be working at ACCENT’s San Francisco Center, helping students as they prepare to embark on their study abroad adventure.

SAssadi-NikSara Assadi-Nik

Assistant Programs Coordinator

As Assistant Programs Coordinator, Sara ensures a smooth enrollment process and confers with students in preparation for their studies overseas. In this position, she also creates student materials, responds to requests for information, and assists with student and faculty needs. Originally from Berkeley, California, Sara completed her BA in Cinema Studies at New York University, where she studied abroad during her junior year in Paris. While abroad she studied French, film, and photography, immersing herself in the artistic culture of Parisian life both inside and outside of the classroom. As an avid traveler and true proponent of international education, Sara is thrilled to help students as they plan their journeys abroad.
